Where My Commitment Began

Going into eighth grade, I experienced a profound health event that changed the trajectory of my life. It was my first real look at the medical world, and I learned firsthand what it feels like to rely on the people who show up every day to care for others.

That experience never left me. With family members in medicine, that connection runs even deeper. I admire the extraordinary work medical professionals do: the sacrifices, dedication, and patients-first mentality. It is work I could never do, but I am deeply committed to supporting.

The “Good Old Boys Club” of Finance

I spent over a decade in financial services, including five years at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, partnering with advisory teams at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Merrill Lynch, and Wells Fargo.

From that vantage point, I saw an industry that often operated like a good old boys club. The best strategies were kept for a select few, and client interests frequently came second to corporate agendas. This model, focused on commissions and generic advice, was not designed to address the unique challenges medical professionals face, such as high taxes and limited time.

A Higher Standard for Real Estate

I founded North Square Capital to provide a different path. I wanted to take the complex world of real estate investing and put it inside a fiduciary framework.

I hold the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst designation, an advanced-level fiduciary credential built on the AIF designation. It reflects a deep commitment to fiduciary standards, meaning recommendations are built around your goals rather than commissions or conflicts of interest.
